YMC Capital

Hope is not
a strategy.

A services firm for qualified investors, family offices, and fund sponsors with positions that have gone wrong — and for those building the vehicles that come next.

What we do

We take broken positions.
We make them work again.

Some of the assets we take on are worthless. Most are stuck for reasons that can be unstuck — a missing cap-table reset, a dormant legal claim, a co-investor who needs out, a fund that has gone past its term. The difference between a write-off and a workout is who is willing to do the work.

We take control. We do the work. We make no promises about what any given asset is worth, because some of them are worth nothing. But we are aggressive, we are honest, and we have been doing this long enough to know the difference between a path to resolution and hope.

Control first

We don't wait for a clean price. We take legal and operational control early, then build the resolution plan from a position of standing. Value doesn't come from sitting still.

Mechanism, not hope

Every engagement starts with the same four questions: where is the value trapped, who holds it, what blocks action, and what is the fastest defensible path to a resolution. No theory, no narrative.

Aligned, not generic

Each mandate is structured to fit the position. Custom engagements today; a dedicated SP platform in development. We eat our own cooking where it's ours to eat.
