About YMC Capital
What investments does YMC Capital make?
YMC Capital has four investment strategies: Fundamental Credit, Distressed and Special Situations, Conviction (opportunistic investments) and Digital Assets. Each has its own ring-fenced segregated portfolio under Nodal SPC, structured and ready to launch when an anchor mandate comes in.
Fundamental Credit focuses on high-quality credit sourced through detailed fundamental work and borrowers we've known for years. The aim is secure principal and predictable income. Distressed and Special Situations covers non-performing assets, legacy investments and distressed positions that others can't or won't resolve, usually because nobody has control.
Conviction targets market dislocations, corporate events and assets mispriced because they're complicated. Every position has to pass the same test: we understand the downside, the structure makes sense and the margin of safety is clear. Digital Assets covers Bitcoin and stablecoin yield, held institutionally. No speculation, no chasing stories.
Beyond the four strategies, we can run managed accounts in your own name or set up a new segregated portfolio for a single mandate, such as one workout, a defined credit trade or a themed basket. The administration, audit, custody and counsel are the same as for every other portfolio under the umbrella.
